This is NOT the softball I hit over the center field fence on this day
in a senior softball game.

In all my two years playing baseball for Jordan High School in Long
Beach, California, one year for the United States Air Force in
Sacramento, California, and three years playing senior softball in San
Diego, I had never hit a ball over a fence for a home run. I was
playing for the Classics in a game with the Codgers. Don Lemons was
the Codger’s pitcher and the twelve foot high center field fence is
about two hundred and twenty-five feet from the batter’s box.

This IS the baseball glove I had on my left hand the day I walked the
first three batters I faced and then struck-out the next three
batters. Joe Iantorno was my catcher.
